Dr. Britton Hammett- McCurry
Dr. Britton Hammett-McCurry graduated from the University of Georgia College of Veterinary Medicine where she focused on small animal, exotic animal and wildlife medicine. She also has a master's degree in Neurobiology and Behavior where she discovered a new behavior in the ring-tailed lemur (she's also slightly obsessed with these creatures). She completed externships in Africa, Central and South America, and a highly competitive internship at Disney's Animal Kingdom where she studied wildlife medicine and pathology at Animal Kingdom. Dr. Britton has spent a number of years volunteering as an instructor and surgeon for World Vets and ISNN, organizations that offer free veterinary care to communities in foreign countries, while offering educational opportunities to veterinary students. Dr Britton loves everything about veterinary medicine, but especially enjoys internal medicine, geriatric care and raptor medicine.
Dr. Britton has worked as a small animal and exotics veterinarian in the metro Atlanta area for the last 10 years, and in that time, has found a growing need for mobile veterinary services in the community. Our hospital provides less stressful medical care in home settings for pets, as well as being able to work around the busy schedules of their families.
Dr. Britton lives with her husband, their five rescue dogs, and pet mouse Mr. Pink. She loves traveling, hiking with her dogs, running and anything to do with Scotland and Outlander (much to her husbands dismay).
